Masala Recipe:

Ingredients (To make 2 servings):
  • 1 teaspoon black tea (or one teabag)
  • 2 cup cold water
  • 1 cup milk (or substitute)
  • 1/4 teaspoon masala spice blend 
  • 1 -2cm piece root ginger
  • Sugar (to your taste)

Method:

Put all the ingredients, apart from the milk & sugar, in a pan and bring to a low boil stirring occasionally. Keep an eye on it doesn't boil over. Let all the ingredients infuse for around 5 minutes then add the milk and sugar (this can be traditionally quite sweet so add as much as you like). Bring back to the boil then take off the heat and allow to sit for a few minutes, Strain and enjoy!
