"I had been feeling extremely anxious having returned to work after having a baby and my husband had recommended acupuncture. I thought I would give it a go, however I must say was slightly dubious as to whether it would actually work. I met with Rachel and she went through my symptoms and history in detail. I automatically felt at ease with Rachel, she was absolutely lovely and very professional. I had my first session and I can honestly say after this session my anxiety had subsided. After 3 sessions I felt a real difference. I was so happy I tried it and can’t recommend Rachel enough" - Alex, Leeds
Migraines & Headaches:
"Rachel gave me acupuncture for a migraine which I would normally dose up on pain killers and aspirin to treat.I admit, having never had acupuncture before I was a little sceptical as to whether it would work but Rachel's treatment was incredible. Within a couple of minutes I could feel the headache and nausea lifting and 30 minutes later my symptoms had completely gone- I'm an acupuncture convert! Thank you Rach" - Jess, Edinburgh
TMD (Locked Jaw):
"I went to see Rachel initially for treatment for TMD, a painful locking of the jaw. After two sessions it has noticeably improved and Rachel has provided a holistic treatment, highlighting different areas in my body and mind that I should look after. Rachel's treatment is professional, caring and she is quietly very knowledgeably about Acupuncture and it's benefits - she does not push, she is respectful and modest but an expert in her field, a refreshing change when paying for healthcare! I will continue to see Rachel for treatments and recommend anyone else who's thought about trying Acupuncture to do so with Rachel! Thank you x" - Sarah, Leeds
Triathlon Support:
"I have been seeing Rachel for some time now. I was training for a full ironman in that took place in July 17 and prior to this from about Sept 16 had been suffering from piriformis syndrome. I had seen other people Physio and sports therapist's and had a couple of weeks in full time therapy. I started seeing Rachel in April 17 and have seen her nearly every week since. I had issues with tight Quads/ Glutes/hamstrings and still the piriformis was playing up. I got to do my race with out the tightness thanks to her expertise in sports Massage and Acupuncture. I'd recommend her to anyone who asks for a great remedial masseur. I'm still seeing Rachel for routine maintenance. Thanks for helping me get through ironman training and the race of my life." - Tony, York
Bell's Palsy:
"I sought Rachel's help after being diagnosed with bell's palsy. My face was paralysed and I felt incredibly low and tense. Rachel immediately filled me with confidence about my recovery, she was really relaxed in her approach and positive about my recovery. She had good knowledge of the condition as well which was really reassuring. In just a couple of weeks my face was back to normal and I attribute this completely to the acupuncture. I can't recommend Rachel enough, not just because of her skilled practise but also the consistent loveliness of her working manner. At all times she was kind, positive and patient with me and put me completely at ease. I am a hundred percent certain that I recovered quickly because of Rachel's work and feel really lucky to have been her client" - Kate, York
Sesamoiditis (Plantar foot pain):
"I've been going to Rachel for nearly a year now about a foot pain that I thought would never go away. She has worked so carefully with me and the sessions have really managed a lot of the pain, so much that it's almost gone. I really enjoy going, after being a bit nervous at first having never had acupuncture but now I love it. 5 stars all the way" - Brittany, York
Knee Pain:
"I've received regular acupuncture from Rachel for a while now. Initially for a knee injury, but the sense of wellbeing I felt made me continue going. I use it as a way to balance my energies and strengthen my immune system to ward off any viruses. If I do get any injuries I can rest assured that they'll heal more effectively with an acupuncture session from Rachel than if I'd just struggled through it. It's a good way to keep the body in top condition." - Rob, York
General Maintenance and Well-being:
"Rachel has such a calm, reassuring style she put me instantly at my ease and I felt completely confident in her understanding of what I needed. Her approach is truly holistic, nothing of what I told her was overlooked or discounted. She is a skilled and reflective professional, and I recommend her services highly." - Hester, York
Frozen Shoulder:
"I first went to the clinic 12 months ago, at the time I had a frozen shoulder. I had never received acupuncture before. The clinic is a beautiful building, and once inside you feel at ease. I was greeted by Rachel, who is very professional and friendly. We discussed my current situation and Rachel informed me of what area of my body would be beneficial to work on and what will occur in the session. After my first session, my body felt amazing, not just physically but mentally calmer as well, as if someone had just drained all the stress from my mind. I continued to go for sessions on my shoulder, which now feels brand new. Since then Rachel has supported me with having treatment for fibroids/polycystic ovaries and a sprained ankle. Acupuncture is not just for when your body appears to be injured or have a problem; I now go every two weeks as it realigns the body and the mind and I always leave feeling stress-free and happier. I would highly recommend having acupuncture with Rachel; it has changed my life." - Katie Anne, York
Persistent Neck & Shoulder Pain
"Having a treatment with Rachel was a great introduction to acupuncture. I have persistent pain in my neck and shoulders and she performed massage and acupuncture combined. Although I was only around for one session I would definitely book with Rachel again because I felt amazing afterwards and could feel benefits already from the treatment. Thank you Rachel." - Josie, Wellington NZ
Relaxation:
I've been seeing Rachel for a few years -I originally went to see Rachel to help me relax and alleviate tension from a busy work life. In the last year I purchased a young horse and had 2 serious falls (dislocated shoulder, badly bruised back, broken finger and bruised leg). Rachel's treatment has been incredible. Week by week I could feel progress with my movement, swelling and mobility. After the first fall I was back in the saddle a lot quicker than expected, I believe acupuncture supported this When I have my appointment with Rachel I really like the one to one time with her around how I am feeling and what needs her attention. She offers advice on what could help as well as her treatment. Although I don't have any immediate areas of concern I still see Rachel once a month to keep mobile and supple." - Justine, York
Sports Injuries:
"I have been treated by Rachel for two different areas of pain. Most recently she treated me for a recurring pain in one of my knees. This injury was mainly the result of running, yet despite having given up running a year ago, I was still occasionally experiencing discomfort. Rachel's approach was calm and reassuring, which put me completely at ease. Her technique was gentle and very effective and she really seemed to focus on understanding where the pain was. She was able to explain the techniques she was using, both in Chinese medicinal terms and through a more scientific description, too. As well as providing a tailored, practical treatment, Rachel also took the time to advise me on aftercare practices. Both sessions felt personal and relaxed." - Phoebe, Leeds
